Mendip Gliding Club is a Community Amateur Sports Association (CASC), meaning we are a type of Charity and are eligible to claim Gift-Aid on donations made to the club. As part of being a member of the club, involved in volunteering to keep the club going, the Gift-aid rules allow notional travel expensed to be claimed and donated to the club, and this donation can then be Gift-Aided. Meaning the club gets 25% of all claims as free money!
